Remembering…

I feel there’s nothing appropriate or adequate enough that I could play or say today, so I’ll leave things silent in a day of reflection.

A heartfelt prayer goes out to all those who tragically lost their lives 10 years ago today, and to all those who still grieve in their loss.

I was sick in bed all day Sunday and to be honest, I was greatful for it. It meant I didn’t have to inundated by the media coverage. It’s all so very heartbreaking enough without the media telling you “This is heartbreaking!” I hate the idea of being reminded to feel pain, it feels unnecessary and sensationalist. That being said, your decision to keep your blog silent instead is the kind of tribute I can get behind.

@ BatGirl – I’m sorry that you weren’t feeling well and hope you’re better now. At least like you said, you were preoccupied with illness to pay much attention to what was going on. A moment of reflection I think is necessary, which is why I kept things silent. I for one can watch documentary after documentary on the subject with an almost fascination, and I mean that in the most respectful of senses. It’s kind of like “did this really happen?” and “I want to educate myself with every bit of information of this that I can to make sense of it”. But the reality or the inevitable is there’s absolutely nothing to make sense of.
